One tap. The door is open.
Portik unlocks the doors where you live or work with one tap. It talks to your Aptus passage system, the same portal you would otherwise sign in to in a browser.
name.aptustotal.se, without https:// and without whatever follows it, usually /AptusPortal.The account has no doors that can be opened through the portal. Whoever runs the system decides which doors your account reaches.
Check the portal address first. Write just the name, like name.aptustotal.se, without https:// and without whatever follows it. The app adds the rest.
The portal handles one door at a time per session, roughly 1.4 seconds each. The app sends every request at once, but the portal works through them in order.
Aptus Home is Aptus's own app and does several things, bookings among them. Portik replaces one of them: opening the door. That is all Portik does, and it can be done straight from the Home Screen. Keep Aptus Home for the rest.
Open Shortcuts and go to Portik's page. Tap the ⓘ next to Unlock and check that Siri is switched on. The phrase has to contain the word Portik, because iOS requires the app's name to be in it.
Open Settings, then Troubleshooting. It says what happened, and you can share the whole log with one tap. The log never contains your password.
One widget is one door or one group. For more doors, add more widgets, and each carries its own name and shows its own result.
A button in Control Center is one door or one group, the same as a widget. It sits one swipe away wherever you are on the phone.
Portik's action is called Unlock. It leaves five fields behind to build on: Unlocked, Door or group, Result, Group and Number of doors. Tap the variable in the next action, then Type, to choose a field.
Portik answers without you building anything: Open the gate with Portik, Unlock the bike room with Portik, Open the door with Portik. The door names are your own, so renaming a door in the app changes what you can say. Every phrase contains the word Portik, because iOS requires the app's name to be in it. To say only open the door, make a shortcut and name it exactly that; Siri runs shortcuts by their name.
A blank NFC tag on the door frame, and an automation in Shortcuts that runs Unlock when the phone touches it. Then you hold the top edge of the phone against the frame and the door opens. The screen needs to be on, but the phone does not need to be unlocked. No screen to search, nothing to tap. The tag holds nothing and cannot open the door for anyone else; the automation lives in your phone. Any blank tag of the standard kind works. If you are putting it on metal you need a tag marked on-metal.
Two buttons you already have. Under Settings › Accessibility › Touch › Back Tap, a double or triple tap on the back of the phone can run a shortcut. Make one with Unlock and choose it there. If your iPhone has an Action button, choose a shortcut the same way under Settings › Action Button. Both work with the phone in your hand and your eyes on the door.
Write to portik-beta@zerolabs.se. Attach the troubleshooting report from the app if you can; it says more than a screenshot.
